That’s right. You can commission your very own building portrait. Maybe it’s your house or somewhere you once lived. Or maybe it’s just a building you really like. I can make any building part of your personal collection. Contact me about your building portrait.
Building portraits are made on 6in x 9in archival paper and cost $700.
To recap:
$700 (starting, larger sizes cost more)
6in x 9in (great in an 11in x 14in frame)
Acrylic and pen on archival paper. 100% hand-made.
The process:
They start with a photo. If you happen to live in the Boston area, I can get a photo. Google Streetview can work for some buildings. Photos need to be head-on and 3/4 view and include the entire building.
I’ll send you an in-process photo once the drawing is complete so you have an idea of what it will look like and can let me know if I missed any important details. Additional progress shots will be shared along the way.
I’ll email you once it’s finished. Mailing costs are in addition to the commission.
I’m booked about two months out.
Payment:
I accept Venmo, paypal, cash. check…
What if I don’t want a work on paper, but I want a piece on panal like that amazing Barbican painting?
No worries! We can make that happen. They take a lot longer to make but are a lot more fun. Pricing will start at around $3,500 for a 16x20.
